CAED MEMBER'S ONLY BENEFITS
In addition to the standard benefits with equipment industry membership the Canadian Association of Equipment Distributors (CAED)
offers the benefits and services noted below to all its members.
Annual CAED Convention
The CAED Annual Convention, is a comprehensive three day program that brings Equipment Industry Representatives together to
network and share their knowledge and expertise on various issues. The Convention offers a varied array of interesting and
informative speakers and business sessions. The evenings are filled with great dinners and entertainment where members renew
old acquaintances and make new ones.
CAED "Showcase" Newsletters
CAED members receive copies of CAED "Showcase" Newsletters. Newsletter consists of up to date issues and informative articles
on today's industry scene. "Showcase" also includes feature pages with articles from member corporations.
CAED Environment, Health and Safety Committee (EHS)
CAED's EHS Committee was created to promote best practices in Environment, Health & Safety as well as their development within
the Canadian Equipment Distributors industry and to recognize achievements by member companies and individuals on issues affecting
the Environment, Health & Safety within the industry. The EHS Committee provides a forum for discussion, information exchange,
cooperation and coordination of resources on matters related to Environment, Health & Safety. Accomplishments to date are Accident
and Injury Rate benchmarking, 2 EHS Seminars/annually and an EHS Legislative Guide.
Education
CAED continues to "attract, recruit and maintain a competitive workforce in the heavy, medium and light equipment industry."
A few years ago, we produced, two videos, a CD-ROM, pamphlet, fact sheets and a human resources needs analysis report entitled
People and Technology have been produced. All of these were distributed to colleges, high schools and Equipment Industry
Representatives in Canada.

Associated Equipment Distributors (AED)
CAED distributor members automatically receive AED publications which include the AED Contact Newsletter, AED's Construction
Equipment Distribution magazine and catalogue of publications and surveys. CAED Members are listed in the Annual AED Directory
and on the AED website. Also, CAED members participating in CONDEX receive a substantial discount for trade show booth space.
The AED foundation offers numerous Educational Seminars (examples are Service and Parts Management, E-Business, Rental
